I’m particularly interested in homes, design, arts and crafts, but I also write general features, interviews and profiles – and research my own book projects, such as What a Hazard a Letter is: The Strange Destiny of the Unsent Letter (Safe Haven Books, September 2018).
I was Editor of House Beautiful magazine (Hearst UK) for four years, spent ten years sub-editing on consumer titles including Good Housekeeping and Homes & Gardens, and have worked as a contributing editor for publishers including John Brown Media and Time Inc UK (formerly IPC)
Since going freelance, I have written several books on interior design and contributed to magazines including Good Housekeeping, Country Living, Coast, House Beautiful, YOU magazine (the Mail On Sunday’s colour supplement) and contract titles at John Brown Media.
I continue to combine both writing and editing – working as a freelance editor and contributing regularly to Country Living and its sister publication Modern Rustic, for which I interview designers and makers.
Published books include:
Decorating Your First Home (Cassell)
Country Christmas (Collins & Brown/Country Living)
Fleamarket Finds (Collins & Brown/Country Living)
Colour Your Home (Hamlyn/House Beautiful)
Country Colour Combinations (Collins & Brown/Country Living)
